Having a relationship with Jesus has made all the difference in my life.
That's what has given me purpose and meaning in life.
I enjoy helping people come to know Jesus and grow in their walk with him.
I grew up in Waukegan, IL and was planning on becoming an electrical engineer. While I was in college I attended a retreat that challenged me to put Christ first in my life. That was a turning point for me. I began to talk with others about the Lord and I began to study and teach God's Word.
I transferred to Moody Bible Institute to get a good foundation in the Bible. It wasn't until I graduated from Moody that I realized God was calling me to be a pastor.
I went on to study at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School to prepare for the ministry.
I pastored churches in Nashua, IA and Muskegon, MI before coming to Victory in 2007.
Ruth and I have been married since 1977 and have 2 boys and many others we have taken in along the way.
Our older son, Chad, went to be with the Lord in 2005 after a 6 1/2 year battle with cancer.
Our younger son is Nate,
He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2011.
He lives with us and he is working at Scottville Upper Elementary School.
In the summers he goes to Romania to work in several ministries, while living and working at Casa Dorca Orphanage.
Just for fun:
I enjoy a good game of ping pong. I enjoy building things.
Ruth is known as "The Crafty Lady" because she enjoys doing and teaching crafts.
Ruth and I like to walk, watch sunsets, ride our bikes, swim in our pool, go boating and kayaking, play games and help people.
